Updated January 31, 2019 to 2000 pixels wide and the two monoliths now have names.
A long way from civilization, deep in the Shorn Forest. Two monoliths on the path to it, with sand spread around the base.
The path is not noticeable form the small hamlet called Broom, but the folks who live there don’t go into the forest.

1) edge of forest near village called Dig and a hamlet called Desha, 25 miles from the hamlet
2) edge of forest north of village of Shu, 82 miles from the castle
3) in the forest, 205 miles from ruin 2… in a straight line.
When the Undead came down from The Gloom, they told the castle dwellers they were just going to expand a bit. So they could leave with no harm to worry about.
The castle dwellers stayed put. Many died during the ensuing battle, but the Undead lost in the end.
